Since leaving home again on Tuesday we've managed to make to to Nasvhille, TN where we met with some wonderful folks at the Hands on Nashville Urban Farm where we volunteered for a couple of hours. It's good to see people moving forward with sustainable practices such as urban farming. It may seem a bit far off the purpose of our tour to visit small sustainable farms, but these are important steps in promoting better living for our children. We are firm believers in rebuilding those connections to simple community living to decrease the materialism and hyper individualism that drives our wasteful lifestyles--lifestyles that eventually lead to destroying mountains for more energy.
Thus far we've made it to Mississippi where we are preparing to meet folks at the Strawberry Plains Audubon Society. More to come....
